Editions of the diary of James Warne for 1758, when he was farming at Wool in south Dorset on the Lulworth estate, and the letters of George Boswell , 1787-1805. Boswell, from Puddletown near Dorchester, was a mercer, entrepreneur and agricultural improver, whose letters to a like-minded Northumberland farmer provide a good illustration of Georgian farming in Dorset.
